GUWAHATI: To enquire about the health condition of former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi who had tested positive for COVID-19, health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where the former CM is being treated. Wearing personal protection equipment (PPE) kit, Dr. Sarma visited the unit where Gogoi is recuperating.
“Today I visited former chief minister Tarun Gogoi. He is quite well now and recovering,” said Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Health minister Sarma also enquired about the health condition of several other MLAs and Kamrup (Metro) deputy commissioner Biswajit Pegu who were infected with COVID-19.
