We love Atul Da, will try to prove myself capable; Parimal Suklabaidya on Dispur MLA Atul Bora’s ‘inefficient’ rant

Guwahati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from Dispur constituency, Atul Bora, has raised cudgels against his party colleague — Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya — alleging that the latter has failed to deliver as a capable and efficient minister of the Forest department.

“Parimal Suklabaidya has failed to live up to the expectation and has failed to effectively handle the forest department. He should be removed from the post.”

Bora claimed that Suklabaidya failed to act against rampant deforestation and tree felling that has been taking place at Amchang reserve forest which falls under Bora’s constituency.

“Amchang is just adjacent to Guwahati city and over the past many illegal tree felling has been going on openly but the forest department has not taken any step on the issue”, he added.

Bora alleged that trees are being felled just behind the office of the Chief Conservator of Forest and claimed that massive and sophisticated machines are being used for the felling of trees.

Reacting to the comments by Atul Bora, Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya said, “We love Atul Bora because he speaks his mind and keeps no grudges. I will try to prove myself capable so that he is satisfied with my work.”

Suklabaidya further said that one cannot satisfy everyone but he will still make an attempt to pacific things and iron out kinks with the Dispur legislator.
