GUWAHATI: Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that BJP-led government has dedicated every day and moment in the last four years to preserve the culture, land and identity of the indigenous people of the state.

Attending the 74th Independence Day programme at Morigaon, Dr. Sarma reiterated his government’s commitment to preserve the ‘Jati, Mati, Bhati’ as promised in the 2016 assembly elections.

“The rhino killing in the Kaziranga National Park is no more. Instead of anomalies in the APSC, even eligible candidates who belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) started getting jobs. We have evicted the illegal shetllers from the pride of Assam Kaziranga. We have evicted the illegal shettlers from Bardowa Xatra, the birthplace of Mahapurush Sankardeva,” Dr. Sarma said.
