At the onset of the disasterous war situation between Israel and Hamas, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday declared an ultimatum stating that his country “did not start the war, but it will finish it”.
“We didn’t want this war. It was forced upon us in the most brutal and savage way. Though Israel didn’t start this war, Israel will finish it,” the Prime Minister said.
He pointed out that Hamas will be made aware that they have “made a mistake of historic proportions” by attacking Israel.
“Once, the Jewish people were stateless. Once, the Jewish people were defenseless. No longer. We will exact a price that will be remembered by them and Israel’s other enemies for decades to come,” he declared.
Highlighting similarities between Hamas and ISIS, Netanyahu approached its allies for support. “Hamas is ISIS. And just as the forces of civilization united to defeat ISIS, the forces of civilization must support Israel in defeating Hamas,” he said.
Reflecting upon Israel’s fight against Hamas, Netanyahu claimed that the war was not just for its own people but for every country that stands against barbarism. “Israel will win this war, and when Israel wins, the entire civilized world wins,” he added.
The ongoing Israel-Hamas war ignited after Hamas terrorists, who rule the Gaza Strip, on Saturday morning launched thousands of rockets and sent fighters across the border in an unprecedented incursion of Israel’s 1948 War of Independence.
