GUWAHATI: Manish Tibrewal, Guwahati’s first COVID-19 patient was discharged from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Sunday after he tested negative in multiple tests conducted in last few days. After his discharge, Tibrewal expressed his gratitude to Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and his department for making all the adequate arrangements for the COVID-19 patients in the state.
“We are lucky that he (Himanta Biswa Sarma) is leading us. He is leading from the front and setting an example.,” said Tibrewal on Sunday.
He also stated that employees of the hospital were cooperative and extended mental support to the patients.
“We felt good and at home. There was no fear,” Tibrewal added.
Tibrewal, a resident of Spanish Garden in Guwahati will be in home quarantine as per covid-19 protocols.
