Guwahati: In a major breakthrough for the Assam forest department, a notorious smuggler of rhino horn was arrested from Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh.
The Assam forest department and Arunachal Pradesh Police arrested the smuggler. The smuggler has been identified as Jobi Gadi.
Since 2011, he had been associated with smuggling of rhino horns from Kaziranga and other parts of northeast and sold them into international markets.
Currently, Jobi is in the custody of the forest officials and is being interrogated.
