GUWAHATI, Oct 28: Former Indian star batter VVS Laxman will be the head coach of the Men in Blue for their white-ball tour of South Africa next month, reports said.
He will officiate as the Indian team’s head coach in the absence of Gautam Gambhir who is expected to leave for Perth on November 10 for the five-Test Border-Gavaskar series against Australia.
India will be playing four T20Is against the Proteas under the leadership of Surykaumar Yadav.
The Indian team will leave for Durban on November 4.
