GUWAHATI: In Assam, voting for the second and final phase of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) polls has concluded in 19 seats in Chirang and Kokrajhar districts amid tight security. Nearly 79 percent polling was recorded when reports last came in.
111 candidates are in the fray in this phase. The first phase of voting was held on 7th of this month for 21 seats. Over 77 percent polling was reported in that phase. The counting of votes for both phases will take place on Saturday.
