A nine-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a commercial passenger vehicle at Bogibeel Bridge yesterday (Dec 27). Incidentally, the sensational accident was caught on camera as one of the occupants of the car, a TATA Sumo, was recording the vehicle journey over the newly-opened bridge with his mobile camera.

Saurav Moran was with his parents when he raced to the other side of the railings but cam right in front of the vehicle. Although the driver applied the brakes, the impact knocked him down, injuring him seriously.
He was rushed to a private nursing home in Dibrugarh where he is undergoing treatment at the ICU. Significantly, the video went viral in the social media amid some reporting the death of another child in the mishap.
