Village Rockstars that won the National Award for Best Feature Film in 2018 was also India’s official entry to Oscars at the Best Foreign Film category in Oscars 2019.
Village Rockstars narrates the story of a young girl who dreams of a guitar, a band, and escaping to musical stardom.
While Bulbul can sing plays like a spiritual sequel to Village Rockstars in which another teenage girl aims to become a singer someday and showcases the pleasing and simplicity of the villages in Assam.
Both the films were shot in Chaygaon, Assam.
