GUWAHATI, Jan 6: Five persons of Indian origin have been arrested in the United States in connection with the murder of a fellow Indian, reports stated quoting US officials.
The bullet-ridden body of Kuldeep Kumar was found in a forest in New Jersey on December 14.
Kumar’s family members who live in New York had reported him missing on October 26 last year.
The arrested persons are Sourav Kumar (23), Guarav Singh (27), Nirmal Singh (30), Gurdeep Singh (22), and Sandeep Kumar (34).
While Sourav, Guarav, Nirmal and Gurdeep are from Greenwood in Indiana State, Sandeep Kumar hails from Ozone Park in New York, reports further stated.
The victim, it is learnt, held Indian citizenship.
American authorities are yet to disclose the reason for the murder.
