GUWAHATI: A 22-year old girl from Indiana in the United States of America (USA) has been taking shelter at the residence of a family in Assam’s Lakhimpur district amid ongoing lockdown in the view of COVID-19 pandemic.
According to reports, Angelica from US had a long-time friendship with Mousumi Lahon, a resident of Pub Chandmari under Lakhimpur district. Angelica came to visit Mousumi at Lakhimpur on March 6. However, with the outbreak of Coronavirus, the US girl had to remain at the home of her friend in Assam. She has already completed her period of home quarantine as per the COVID-19 protocols.
As, international flight service has been suspended across the world, Angelica has been staying at Mousumi’s home for last one and half month. Angelica has been waiting eagerly for the situation becoming normal so that she can return to her country.
