UPDATE: Student from Meghalaya who went missing from Guwahati zoo found

The 22-year-old Meghalaya student had gone to Guwahati zoo on Thursday afternoon from where he went incommunicado

A 22-year-old student from Meghalaya who went missing from Guwahati Zoo yesterday (June 3) has been found. He was found at his rented accommodation in Narengi.

BM Bothmit from Meghalaya, who has been taking coaching classes at an institute in the State capital city, had gone to Guwahati Zoo at around 3:30 pm yesterday.

While CCTV visuals showed him entering the zoo, he could not be spotted leaving the premises. Despite a frantic search, his whereabouts could not be established since yesterday night.

What added to his mysterious ‘disappearance’ was the recovery of a bag, cap and a shoe believed to belong to the missing person from inside the zoo complex.

Police had launched a massive operation to track him after a missing complaint was lodged at Geetanagar Police Station by Guwahati zoo authorities.

He was finally found at his renthouse in Narengi locality of the city.
