Viral videos showed the under-construction building collapse in Bangkok after the two earthquakes struck Myanmar and other parts of Southeast Asia
GUWAHATI, March 28: An under-construction building collapsed in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, after two powerful earthquakes, the epicentres of which were near Mandalay town in Myanmar, struck leading to panic among people.
The tremors were felt across India — in Assam and the other northeastern States and even in Delhi NCR — as people in Guwahati were seen running out of houses and offices in panic.
While the first tremor was of 7.2 Magnitude and struck at 11:50 am IST, the second quake measured 7.0 in the Richter Scale and struck at 12:02 pm, the National Centre for Seismology stated.
Along with devastation in Mandalay town and near the epicentre in Myanmar, viral videos showed the tremors leading to the collapse of the under-construction building in Bangkok.
