GUWAHATI: Army arrested a hardcore cadre of United Liberation Front of Assam(I) today at Sonari under Charaideo district.
The cadre identified as Balin Baruah was allegedly involved in the Teokghat bomb blast on January 26. A 7.65 pistol, one magazine and three rounds of live bullets have been recovered from his possession. Later Army handed over the militant to Sonari Police.
ULFA(I) cadre Balin Baruah who hails from Nijkhaloighugra of Charaideo was arrested twice in 2015 and 2018.
