The head-on collision between two motorcycles took place at at Gorapori Nisopi Kherajgaon under Dhula police station in Darrang district
GUWAHATI, March 31: Two persons were killed and two others injured after a head-on collision between two motorcycles at Gorapori Nisopi Kherajgaon under Dhula police station in Assam’s Darrang district today morning dampening Eid-ul-fitr celebrations.
The accident took place when the two motorcycles — one a Bajaj Pulsar bearing registration number AS-13-R-3830 and the other a TVS Glamour bearing registration number AS-13-G-7937 — collided head-on leading to the deaths of the two persons.
The deceased have been identified as Sukur Ali of Algachar village and Jamir Ali of Gorapori village.
The two injured persons were identified as Kitab Ali and Nasiruddin Ali.
Both the injured were first admitted to Mangaldai Civil Hospital while one of them, whose injuries is learnt to be critical, was later rushed to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for better treatment.
