Police probing the sensational twin train rape-and-murder case reconstructed the crime scene at a train coach at Simologuri railway station where a young college student was brutally raped and murdered by two persons — Bikash Das and Bipin Pandey alias Pandit last week.
Sivasagar Police took arrested accused Bikash Das to a railway coach where the latter narrated in vivid details how he and his accomplice Bipin committed the crime.
Bikash admitted to have drugged the young college girl hailing from Sivasagar using anesthetics and then raped her along with Bipin before strangulating her to death with a gamosa.

Incidentally, Bikash Das and Bipin Pandey were arrested in connection with the two cases — the rape and murder of a young college girl inside the toilet of a wagon of the Dibrugarh-Rangia Express and the subsequent sexual assault on a 48-year-old woman who was also strangulated to death, again inside a coach of the Avadh Assam Express a day later.
