GUWAHATI: Assam Police has registered a total of 2078 COVID-19 positive cases till August 6, informed additional director general of police (ADGP) GP Singh. However, 1495 personnel have recovered and many of them have already resumed their duties.
On the other hand, fiver Assam Police personnel succumbed to the COVID-19 infection.
“August 6th2020 – @assampolice 2078 personnel have tested positive till date. 1495 have recovered. Unfortunately, we’ve lost five colleagues till date,” GP Singh tweeted.
Assam has so far reported 52,817 COVID-19 positive cases. With the recoveries of 37,224 patients, there are 15,464 active cases in the state.
