GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has released a new helpline number to facilitate the return of stranded people to the State. Stranded people who want to return back to Assam will have to give a missed call to this number: 7428159966.
Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “People will get a link in their respective mobile numbers 48 hours after they give a Missed Call to the helpline number. The people need to fill-up the form with their respective details as asked in the form and submit it. G.P. Singh and Harmeet Singh will be the nodal officers to oversee the entire process.”
Dr. Sarma also added that those who have registered for benefits under Assam Care may not give missed call.
