100-bedded Mother & Child Care Unit inaugurated in Tinsukia

Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday inaugurated a 100-bedded state-of-the-art Mother & Child Care Unit (MCH) at the Tinsukia Civil Hospital.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Today, we are dedicating this new MCH Unit to the people of Tinuskia. The Assam Government has spent almost Rs. 18 crore to build this MCH unit. For the babies and mothers the new MCH has a New Born Baby Care Unit, Sick Unit and Paediatric ICU among other facilities. There are 100 beds for the patients and the MCH has all the latest and modern equipment.”

“Also, we have been able to create 12 units for doctors and another 12 units for the nurses in the MCH,” said the Health Minister.

Union Minister and Dibrugarh MP Rameswar Teli, MLAs Bhaskar Sharma,

Sanjoy Kishan, Bolin Chetia and Teras Goala were also present during the occasion.
