GUWAHATI: High speed wind, thunderstorm and heavy rains lashed Guwahati and some other parts of Assam on Thursday night. The IMD Guwhati forecasted a Thundersquall with wind speed of 50-60kmph, accompanied by hail very likely to hit various places of Assam including Dhubri, South Salmara, Kokrajhar, Darrang, Udalguri and Morigaon.
Apart from Guwahati other parts of the state are also witnessing the storm and rainfall.
As precaution, power supply to most of the areas of Guwahati has been shut down. Other parts of Assam are also witnessing a power-cut amid this inclement weather.
