GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has taken all the necessary steps to deal with the Coronavirus outbreak though not a single case has been detected in the state.
Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that three test centres have been set-up in Assam.
“Earlier, the testing facilities were available at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital and Regional Medical Research Centre, Dibrugarh. Today the laboratory of Jorhat Medical College and Hospital got accredited as the test centre,” Dr. Sarma said.
He also stated that sample collection centres had been set-up at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital at Barpeta, Tezpur Medical College and Hospital and Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
