Thirty air travellers who returned from Kuwait test COVID-19 positive in Assam

GUWAHATI: Among the new COVID-19 positive patients in Assam, there are thirty air passengers who had returned from Kuwait, tweeted Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The new 73 COVID-19 positive cases detected in Assam on Monday night include the thirty persons who had arrived in Guwahati from Kuwait by flight. Other patients include— 12 from Cachar, 10 from Kamrup, 9 from Karimganj, 7 from Kokrajhar, 2 from Hailakandi and1 each from Barpeta, Nagaon and Jorhat.

On Friday evening, under the Vande Bharat Mission for northeast India, a Jazeera Airways flight with 155 passengers arrived at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati.
