GUWAHATI: “There will be no rule of Babur and Aurangzed either in Delhi or Dispur. It will not be accepted in Kashmir or Dhubri,” said North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor and Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at Dibrugarh.

Addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha State Executive on Sunday, Dr. Sarma said that All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Maulana Badruddin Ajmal and his company have posed serious threats to the culture and civilisation of Assam.

“They encroach the land of our Sattras. They even don’t spare the rhinos in Kaziranga. But we have recovered 14 thousand land from the clutches of Ajmals and distributed them to the indigenous people,” Sarma said.

In his speech, Dr. Sarma mentioned the efforts of prime minister Narendra Modi to preserve the culture and heritage of the country.
