GUWAHATI: After the five Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Assam, the number can increase further in the evening, said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today.
Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Dr. Sarma said, “The number can touch double digit. The number will increase definitely, the indication is such,” said Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
It has been confirmed that all the five Coronavirus patients in Assam attended the Tablighi Jamaat’s Markaz.
Sarma stated that total 547 people from Assam were present in and around the religious congregation in Delhi. So far 68 people have not returned to the state. Out of the 68, 4 have been tested positive in Delhi.
134 have not been suspected prima facie. The remaining number is 347 out of which 230 people have been recognized. As of now 196 people’s sample have been collected.
