Guwahati: Kangana Ranaut, who celebrates her 34th birthday today, shared the trailer of her upcoming project Thalaivi, which brings to screen Jayalalithaa’s journey as a stellar actress which was followed by a powerful political career. And it appears that Kangana Ranaut has done it again.
halaivi tells the story of legendary Tamil Nadu politician and actress J Jayalalithaa. The trailer shows Jayalalithaa’s rise in the film industry to the shameful act by some politicians who had almost disrobed her when the house was in session. Ranaut’s Jayalalithaa compares her disrobing to the cheer haran of Draupadi in Mahabharata and her dialogue delivery during that particular sequence is, perhaps, the most powerful moment of the trailer. It will definitely give you goosebumps. Kangana is fantastic in the trailer with all the emotions intact.
Thalaivi also stars Arvind Swamy, Nassar, Bhagyashree, Raj Arjun and Madhu Bala besides Ranaut and is set to hit theatres on the 23rd of April this year.
Kangana Ranaut, who received her fourth National Film Award on Monday for her performances in the 2019-released films Panga and Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, shared the much-awaited trailer of the film and she wrote: “The Iron lady of India who devoted her whole life towards the betterment of her own people. She started as an actress who the masses loved and went on to become a leader who the masses looked up to.”
