As per reports, the miscreants also fired rounds of bullets in the air, and the incident created panic among the villagers. At least 10 people were injured in the incident. Akib Ali, Anam Uddin, and Husna Begum who were seriously injured have been admitted to Silchar Medical College.

The authorities have immediately imposed section 144 to control the ongoing situation in the bordering areas of Kosurthol in Hailakandi.

Shocking video footages show that the miscreants fired round of bullets at the people. It is still not clear if the three were injured because of the outbreak of the fire or because of the gunshots.
