Tarun Gogoi’s health deteriorates to critical state, Himanta Biswa Sarma visits GMCH

Guwahati: The health condition of former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi deteriorated further on Monday morning and is in a ‘very very’ critical state. Doctors are doing everything they can and he needs divine intervention, stated Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The health minister along with his wife and two children visited the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) today to enquire about the health of the senior Congress leader.

Speaking to the media Dr. Sarma said, “The present status of Gogoi is very very critical and doctors are doing their best. He is still breathing with 100% ventilation support.  His vital organs aren’t functioning. Everything is in God’s hand.  He needs people’s prayers.”
