Guwahati, August 5: Biswajit Pegu, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kamrup (Metro) stated that a total of 1 lakh 23 thousand RT PCR tests have been conducted so far in the district.
Meanwhile, 65 lakh Antigen tests have been done till Tuesday. The target is to reach 1 lakh antigen tests by August 15. Not only shopkeepers and business establishments, the Deputy Commissioner appealed to all the citizens to come out voluntarily and get the COVID-19 tests done in centres spread across the city.
Assam has already reached the 10 lakh-mark in COVID-19 tests, which is a remarkable feat itself.
