Guwahati: Taapsee Pannu has a great impressive lineup of films – Do Baara, Rashmi Rocket, Haseen Dillruba and a South film.

Currently, Taapsee is preparing for the sports biopic Shabaash Mithu based on cricketer Mithali Raj’s life.

Now, a little birdie has informed us that Taapsee has been approached for the ace tennis player Sania Mirza’s biopic as well. This has been in the talks for some time. Noted producer Ronnie Screwvala bought the rights to her life.

The makers wanted a younger actress to play Sania and with Parineeti Chopra playing Saina in Saina Nehwal’s biopic, they didn’t want to repeat her. Apparently, they took the film to Taapsee, who liked the script.

Interestingly a few years back in an interview, Taapsee had mentioned that she would love to play Indira Gandhi or Sania Mirza on-screen.

After being in the modelling circle for a few years, Pannu made her acting debut with the 2010 Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam and later acted in the 2011 Tamil film, Aadukalam. She made her Hindi film debut with David Dhawan’s comedy Chashme Baddoor. After appearing in several South Indian and Hindi films, Pannu got noticed for her performance in the courtroom drama Pink, which was a critical and commercial success.

She recently gave a sneak-peek of her new pad which she fondly calls ‘Pannu Pind’. Her luxurious and chic apartment in Mumbai has a European-style vibe with a voguish ambience and is filled with aesthetics. She recently moved to her Andheri apartment and shares her house with her sister, Shagun. The Pannu sisters have decorated every nook and corner of the house.
