GUWAHATI: The Barhampur assembly constituency is seeing a straight fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.
As counting continues, till 2 PM Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate Jitu Goswami was ahead with just 40 votes against his nearest rival Suresh Borah of Indian National Congress. Goswami polled 12666 votes whereas Borah polled 12626 votes.
