Sunil Grover hits back at ‘paid trolls’ after tweet supporting Salman Khan faces brickbats

GUWAHATI: Actor-comedian Sunil Grover, known to be having a good rapport with Salman Khan, was at the centre of a blistering attack from a section of netizens after he tweeted his support to the Bollywood superstar amid the uproar and outrage over actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death.

Sunil, known for his association with Kapil Sharma in the TRP-topping show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ before later parting ways after a bitter spat, on Sunday took to tweeted to express his support towards Salman Khan as ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor faced brickbats from Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans and others after Sushant’s suicide.

Many had held Salman and a few other Bollywood bigwigs responsible for pushing Sushant to depression, as they leveled nepotism charges on several top Bollywood stars, including Salman and producer Karan Johar.

“I love and respect Salman Sir,” Sunil Grover tweeted after which he was slammed and trolled.

Sunil’s tweet supporting Salman interestingly came after the superstar on Saturday urged fans to support Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans.

The actor-comedian, however, did not keep mum but decided to hit back.

Taking a jibe at ‘paid trollers’, Sunil tweeted: “Kahin ab mujhe paid trollers ko kaam pe lagane main maza na aane lag jaye. God please save me from this new amusement.”

He continued with another tweet in which he wrote: “The difference between truth and fact is that fact is something that cannot be combated with reasoning, for it is logic itself. But truth is something which depends on a person’s perspective and experience.”

Sunil Grover had acted in Salman Khan’s movie ‘Bharat’. The Bollowood super star had also featured in TV shows where Sunil Grover had been a part while the latter also getting invitations from Salman to perform in the Big Boss.
