The indefinite strike called by transport unions led by the All-India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) and supported by State transport unions has been called off on Sunday.

The strike has affected normal life for two straight days with private commercial vehicles, including long-distance buses remained off the roads. The strike also impacted normal life in Assam with commuters facing lots of inconvenience following the absence of private buses and other transport vehicles.
The strike was called off due to NRC and flood situation in the State.
