Armed miscreants Monday night abducted an employee of a stone quarry near Jagun in Tinsukia district. Gunmen abducted Apurba Kakoty, manager of a stone quarry, Monday night leading to sensation in the area.
This is the fourth incident of abduction at Jagun in a month.
No demand for ransom to secure his release has been made so far with police claiming that they are looking into all possible angles.
Incidentally, Apurba’s mother is a cancer patient and the family was planning to bring her to Guwahati for better treatment. Apurba’s parents, meanwhile, have appealed to the kidnappers to release him.
The abduction comes after five persons of a particular community were gunned down at Dhola in Tinsukia district.
