GUWAHATI: The election for Assam State BJP president will take place tomorrow at Srimanta Madhabdev International Auditorium of Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati.
According to sources, it is almost confirmed that incumbent Assam BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass will be reappointed as there is no other contender for the post. Central leadership has reportedly approved Dass’s reappointment.
State BJP election in-charge Bhabesh Kalita informed media persons that Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass will be present during the election.
It needs to be mentioned that BJP has already completed election process for the posts of mandal and district presidents.
The election for the post of State president will take place in the presence of state office bearers, BJP MPs and MLAs, district presidents and council members of the party.
