GUWAHATI: Preparations are in full-swing for the 89th annual conference of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha to be held at Kamargaon in Bokakhat under Golaghat district. The annual conference will be held from Feb 5-8, 2020 at Mohura Dihingiya Pothar which has been named as ‘Heritage Kaziranga Samannay Kshetra.’
“We are ready to welcome the devotees. With only a month remaining for the event, locals and various organisations have come in large numbers to join the preparations. They are not only working hard, but some of them have also contributed financially from their hard-earned money for the conference,” said a member of the reception committee.
According to the reception committee, 60 percent works for the conference have been completed. Hundreds of volunteers are working day and night to prepare pandals, Namghar, kitchens, food court and camps for the representatives. Several sub-committees have been formed to make the event a grand success.
