SRK’s Pathaan is fastest Bollywood film to enter Rs 400 crore club worldwide

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer has been surpassing milestone after milestone! After crossing the Rs 100 crore mark on its opening day, the spy action film has managed to rake in more than Rs 400 crore worldwide in less than a week. Meanwhile, it entered the Rs 200-crore mark in India. Pathaan continues breaking records!

The audience’s verdict is loud and clear – Pathaan is a blockbuster of epic proportions. Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the cinemas after a hiatus of four years has been received well not only in India, but worldwide too!

The Shah Rukh Khan film, which opened to a staggering Rs 107 crore at the worldwide box office, continues to break records. “#Pathaan crosses ₹ 400 Crs gross at the WW Box office in 4 days,” tweeted trade analyst and film critic Ramesh Bala.

As of Friday (January 27), Pathaan had earned Rs 166 crore in India and Rs 316 crore gross worldwide. According to early estimates, the film is expected to rake in almost $6 million (Rs 49 crore) overseas, which means its worldwide total is above Rs 420 crore.. This makes the King Khan led film the fastest Bollywood film to enter the coveted Rs 400 crore club worldwide.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the spy thriller stars Shah Rukh Khan as an exiled RAW agent assigned to stop a nuclear attack on India planned by a private terrorist group. The film also stars Deepika Padukone as an ISI agent and John Abraham as a former rogue RAW agent planning a nuclear attack on India.

Released on January 25, the movie is the fourth installment in the YRF Spy Universe that includes Hrithik Roshan starrer War, Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. Following Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War II are scheduled to hit the big screens. Both the films are currently under development.
