GUWAHATI: On the occasion of Rongali Bihu and Assamese new year, Purbadaya Group of Commerce on Friday felicitated five senior citizens in the Srijangram area of Bongaigaon district.
Retired teachers Jatin Pathak and Laksheswar Pathak, retired Arunachal Government employee Tiken Chandra Pathak, retired Assam Government employee Tapeswar Ray and Ex-Army jawan Braja Mohan Ray were felicitated with citations, Gamochas and saplings.
“It is our humble effort to pay our respects to the senior citizens who have pivotal roles in the society. In near future, we will take up similar programmes to honour distinguished personalities,” said a functionary of Purbadaya.
