GUWAHATI, Dec 2: In a bid to clear extra rush of passengers, NF Railway has been decided to run a special train between Dibrugarh and Dhubri and vice-versa from December 4 to December 7.
The special train from Dibrugarh (Train No. 05938) will leave Dibrugarh at 7:30 am on December 4 and reach Dhubri at 2:05 am the next day. The train from Dhubri to Dibrugarh (Train No. 05937) will depart from Dhubri at 7:20 pm on December 7 and reach Dibrugarh at 4:30 pm the next day, a release issued by NF Railway CPRO Kapinjal Kishore Sharma stated.
The special train will run via New Tinsukia, Naharkatia, Simaluguri, Furkating, Lumding, Guwahati, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, Fakiragram, Golokganj to reach its destination during its both-way journey.
NF Railway has also decided to extend the periodicity of the special train between Kamakhya and Anand Vihar Terminal (for four trips in both directions) from December 6 to December 29. Accordingly, the train from Kamakhya to Anand Vihar Terminal (Train No. 02525) has been extended to run from December 6 to December 27 every Friday.
In the return direction, from Anand Vihar Terminal to Kamakhya, the special train (Train No. 02526) has been extended to run from December 8 to December 29 every Sunday.
Waitlisted passengers of other trains travelling in the above route can avail the opportunity to travel with comfort. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey, the release further stated.
