SLPRB declares results of 5730 posts vacant in Police, Excise & Forest Depts

GUWAHATI, May 8: The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) today declared the results for 5730 posts vacant in Police, Excise & Forest Depts at 11 am today.

While of the above vacant posts, 5421 candidates were declared as qualified while the remaining 309 posts remained vacant, DGP GP Singh announced in a briefing with the media.

Candidates can check their results on SLPRB’s official website for their results.

Incidentally the posts of Forester Grade I, Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable, Excise Constable, Constable, Sub Inspector of Police (AB), Driver, Jail Warder, Assistant Jailer and Grade IV etc under Assam Police, Assam Commando Battalions, Forest Department, Excise Department, DGCD & CGHG, Prison and F&ES departments were lying vacant for which the recruitment drive was carried out under the Himanta Biswa Sarma Government’s initiative of providing 1 lakh jobs for educated unemployed youths of the State.

Today’s announcement comes days after results of more than 25,000 Grade III & Grade IV jobs were declared on May 3 and 4 respectively. Those qualifying for these 5730 jobs would also get their appointment letters on May 11 when Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hand over their appointment letters at a function in Guwahati that will coincide with the second anniversary function of the Himanta Biswa Sarma Government.
