Sivasagar: Bir Lachit Sena leader Srinkhal Chaliha taken ill, admitted to hospital

Bir Lachit Sena leader Srinkhal Chaliha was on Tuesday (June 24) admitted to a private nursing home in Sivasagar town after he fell unwell.

Srinkhal was leading the protests against SK Petro, the firm operating Well No. RDS 147 of Rig No. 135 in Bhotiapar Barichuk in Assam’s Sivasagar district which suffered a blowout and still continues to emit gas.

He was staging a demonstration outside the firm’s offices for the past seven days while also making constant visits to areas affected by the blowout.

He reportedly fell unwell today, complaining of weakness following which he was admitted to a private nursing home in Sivasagar town.

His vital health parameters are normal and has been advised rest by doctor.
