GUWAHATI: COVID-19 situation is becoming a little alarming in Assam, said health and family welfare minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on Tuesday.
“With about 5000 #Covid19 cases being reported everyday, situation in Assam is becoming a little alarming. However, we’re prepared,” Sarma said in a tweet.
He says every week has been witnessing rise of 1,000-1,500 COVID-19 cases. If the situation remains same, Guwahati may soon face shortage of beds.
Visited GMCH and held a meet with faculty and Pr Secy Health to discuss scaling up of ICU and Hospital beds. With about 5000 #Covid19 cases being reported everyday, situation in Assam is becoming a little alarming. However, we’re prepared.
