Acclaimed singer Subasana Dutta suffered serious injuries after her car met with an accident while she was returning from a Bihu stage show in Bongaogaon late Thursday night.
Subasana’s manager Shekharjyoti Baishya was also injured in the mishap when the car veered off the road at Udiyana in Rangia.
The singer has been admitted to Excel Care Hospital and is stated to be out of danger.
There have been many incidents of singers and artistes meeting with accidents while returning from Bihu stage shows.
In one of the most tragic accidents in recent times involving vehicles returning from Bihu stage shows, Suman Mahanta, an upcoming singer, died along with 10 other people at Dhupdhara in Goalpara district in May, 2014.
