GUWAHATI, Dec 29: One person, a member of Sikkim Scouts, was killed while five more were injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling lost control and rammed into a parked truck at Tadong in Gangtok early Sunday morning.
The Mahindra Bolero (SK-05P-2672) which met with the accident was travelling from Ranipool to Gangtok.
The deceased has been identified as Purna Kumar Chhetri who was a member of Sikkim Scouts. He died on the spot.
Five other occupants of the vehicle, including a woman, were admitted to the Central Referral Hospital in Manipal where they are being treated.
The condition of one of them is learnt to be critical.
