Gangtok: Sikkim reported three fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the coronavirus caseload in the state to 6,178, an official said on Wednesday.
State’s Information Education and Communication (IEC) member Sonam Bhutia said that East Sikkim district reported all three new cases.
Sikkim now has 49 active COVID-19 cases, while 5,897 people have recovered from the disease, he said.
The IEC member said the COVID-19 death toll in the state is 135 while 97 patients have migrated to other states
Sikkim has so far tested 80,088 samples for COVID-19 including 193 samples in the last 24 hours, he added. PTI
