GUWAHATI, Oct 21: A day after the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) named Aditya Golay Tamang and Satish Chandra Rai as its candidates for the Soreng-Chakung and Namchi-Singhithang assembly constituencies for the Nov 13 by-polls, both candidates filed their nomination papers today while exuding confidence of emerging out victorious in the hustings.
It may be mentioned here that Aditya Golay Tamang, who won the Soreng-Chakung seat in the 2019 assembly elections, is the eldest son of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.
Satish Rai, on the other hand, is vice president of the party.
While the two seats will go to vote on Nov 13, results will be declared on Nov 23.
