Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court has rejected the bail plea of Former Karimganj SP Kumar Sanjit Krishna and one of the accused in the Assam Police Sub-Inspector recruitment scam on Wednesday.
Kumar Sanjit Krishna has been sent to 6 days of judicial custody on Wednesday by the Gauhati High Court. He will be produced in court again on October 27.
On the other hand, another accused, Thank You lodge owner Alakesh Baishya’s bail plea has also been rejected by the court.
Meanwhile, Joydeep Baruah has also been sent to 6-days of judicial custody while Suraj Sarma has been given 1-day judicial custody by the court. All four accused have been sent to different jails.
Suraj Sarma has been sent to Goalpara jail while Kumar Sanjit Krishna has been remanded at Guwahati Central Jail and Joydeep Baruah at Marigaon jail. They have been sent to different jails for security purposes.
