GUWAHATI: Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that written examination for the Assam Police sub-inspector (SI) recruitment was cancelled before the scam could take place.
“The exam was cancelled before the scam could happen. Now exam will take place within November 30 without any kind of anomalies,” said Dr. Sarma.
On the other hand, Sarma stated that once Diban Deka and Akhil Gogoi addressed a press meet against the minister.
He also stated that appointment of already recruited persons would be cancelled if irregularities are found in the process.
“Many have confessed about the anomalies in earlier recruitments. Police is investigating the issue,” he added.
