GUWAHATI, Jan 12: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh turned good Samaritan when they stopped near Mawkdok to help two people who were injured after their vehicle met with an accident.
The Meghalaya Chief Minister and the State Health Minister were returning from Cherrapunji and were on their way to Shillong when they witnessed a vehicle from Assam meeting with an accident near Mawkdok.
The Chief Minister stopped his convoy, as both Sangma and Lyngdoh got down from their vehicles to inquire about the matter and provided help to the accident victims. The doctor attached to the CM convoy attended to the injured persons while an ambulance was called to send them to hospital.
People have hailed the generosity and compassion shown by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh in providing help and assistance to the two accident victims.
