Shefali Jariwala Death: Cops Find Anti-Ageing and Skin Tablets at Her Mumbai Home

PUBLISHED:

The sudden death of actor-model Shefali Jariwala at just 42 years old has left fans across India heartbroken. Known widely as the “Kaanta Laga girl,” Shefali was a beloved face in the entertainment world. After she passed away on June 27, Mumbai Police started investigating the cause of her untimely demise. While the cause of death is still not officially confirmed, some details from her home and family statements have now come to light.

According to reports, the Mumbai Police found anti-ageing tablets, skin glow supplements, and vitamin capsules at Shefali Jariwala’s apartment in Andheri. These were discovered while the police were collecting the panchnama, the official record of investigation, from her home. Her family has confirmed that Shefali had been taking these beauty and health supplements, but not on the advice of any doctor. However, they also mentioned that these tablets had not negatively affected her health.

Shefali’s husband, Parag Tyagi, and three others rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital, but hospital authorities confirmed she was dead on arrival. While it was earlier believed that Shefali died of cardiac arrest, police and doctors have now said the real cause is still unclear.

Doctors from RN Cooper Hospital, where Shefali’s post-mortem was done, are now looking into the possibility that a sudden drop in blood pressure might have caused her death. Her husband Parag informed the police that Shefali had been fasting for a Satyanarayan pooja at their home. He also mentioned that she had fainted once after eating food following the fast.

Although social media was abuzz with questions, Mumbai Police have ruled out any foul play and confirmed that a case of Accidental Death (ADR) has been registered. Shefali’s last rites were held at Oshiwara Crematorium on the evening of June 28.

Shefali Jariwala became a household name at the age of 20 with her appearance in the music video Kaanta Laga in 2002. Over the years, she participated in popular TV shows like Bigg Boss and Nach Baliye, the latter alongside her husband Parag Tyagi. She was known for her vibrant presence and strong personality.

Just days before her passing, Shefali posted on Instagram saying, “Time to start living life,” a caption that now feels especially emotional to her fans. Many of them are expressing shock, sadness, and disbelief, remembering her as a beautiful soul gone too soon.

The final cause of her death will be known only after the post-mortem report is released. Till then, fans and well-wishers are praying for her peace and remembering her legacy in Indian pop culture.
